User Flows Exercise

I created my user flow after navigating the Sweetgreen app. I found the Sweetgreen app to be simple to navigate, with multiple ways to edit your order and go back if needed. Compared to Whimsical AI’s user flow, mine has more options and paths. If I had a more detailed prompt, I could produce a more accurate user flow but I just went with a basic prompt. Whimsical’s user flow was pretty standard and it could be used as a starting point for a redesign or a competitor’s app. I actually reached my limit for using GPTs for the day so I could not play around with Whimsical further without buying a subscription. In the future I plan to give it a much more detailed explanation of the Sweetgreen app and see if it can produce a flow similar to mine or one that is more detailed. I noticed that with the simple prompt, Whimsical gave me a user flow that is way out of order from the actual Sweetgreen app. Rather than choosing the pickup location as the first thing, it is after the checkout. Whimsical also includes picking up the salad physically at the end of the user flow, which is outside of the app. My user flow has a lot more decisions (diamonds), which can be helpful to the customer in case they want to edit their order. The Whimsical user flow is just clicking through menus, which can sometimes be frustrating for the customer. Ultimately, I think Whimsical could be a very powerful tool with the right prompt, and it could streamline the user flow thought and creation process.
